This policy explains what personal information Awsmberg Private Limited (“we”, “us”), which operates the Awsmberg Stays brand and this website, collects from you, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
1. Who we are
Awsmberg Private Limited (CIN TO CONFIRM — company CIN), registered at TO CONFIRM — registered office address, Udaipur, Rajasthan, operates Awsmberg Stays and the villas listed on this site. We are the data fiduciary for the information described below.
2. What we collect
We collect only what a booking or an enquiry actually requires.
Information you give us
- Enquiry and booking details — your name, phone number, email address, city, the dates and party size you are asking about, and anything you write in a message box.
- Guest details at check-in — the identification a hotel or homestay in India is required by law to record for each guest, and the address and GSTIN needed to issue a valid tax invoice where you ask for one.
- Partner and owner enquiries — if you contact us about listing a villa or about trade terms, the company, GSTIN and property details you choose to send.
Information collected automatically
- Standard web server logs: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you requested and when. These are used to keep the site running and secure.
- A session cookie, which is what keeps a booking form filled in as you move between steps. It is strictly necessary — the site cannot function without it.
What we do not collect
- We never see or store your card details. Payments are taken by our payment gateway on its own systems. We receive only a payment reference and whether the payment succeeded.
- We do not buy personal data from third parties, and we do not sell yours.
3. Why we use it
| Purpose | What this covers |
|---|---|
| Answering your enquiry | Calling or emailing you back about a stay, a listing or a partnership. |
| Taking and running a booking | Confirming your reservation, arranging your arrival, and providing what you booked. |
| Payment and invoicing | Processing your payment through the gateway and issuing a tax invoice. |
| Legal obligations | Guest registers, GST records and any information we are required to provide to a lawful authority. |
| Service messages | Booking confirmations, changes and reminders. These are not marketing and cannot be opted out of while you have a live booking. |
4. Who we share it with
Only where it is needed to deliver what you asked for:
- The villa you booked — the property team needs your name, arrival details and party size to receive you.
- Our payment gateway — to take your payment. Your card details go directly to them and never through us.
- Service providers acting on our instructions, such as hosting and email delivery, bound to use the data only for that purpose.
- Authorities, where we are required by law to disclose.
We do not share your information with advertisers, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
5. How long we keep it
- Booking and invoice records — kept as long as tax and company law require us to retain them, which in India is a minimum of eight years for accounting records.
- Enquiries that did not become bookings — kept for up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Server logs — kept for a short operational period and then rotated out.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete information we no longer have a legal reason to keep;
- stop sending you marketing, at any time, with no effect on a booking you already hold.
Write to the Grievance Officer named at the foot of this page. We will respond within one month. If we cannot act on a request — usually because a law requires us to keep the record — we will tell you which one.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, access to booking data is restricted to staff who need it for their work, and payment details never reach our systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise; if a breach affects your data we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 other than the names and ages of children included in a booking made by an adult.
9. Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after that date means you accept the revised policy.
